Hellish Angels in a Moonless Sky

Trees Sunset by Aliza Abusch-Magder

Regret is the burning roses in hell,

disguised as an alluring angel.

She patiently waits for the right moment to

strip you of your soul, to create a motionless face

stuck in the oblivion of regret.

What started as a small, containable fire,

instantly washes over the entirety of your spirit,

drowning it in mirrors of despair.

Your essence has become a moonless night sky,

covered by clouds of remorse.

The foggy sky clouds the pilot’s vision and

His plane is out of his control as he crashes to the ground,

Killing the human cargo and himself.

All because of your regret.

Regret is magnificent glitter.

In small amounts its beauty is in the lessons it teaches you.

In big amounts it ruins everything with an unbearable

Sparkle of sorrow.
