Feminine Strong

Feminine Strong by Rachel Kaufman
Artist’s Statement: I think a lot about the idea of being both feminine and strong. As someone who has classically feminine traits myself, I have often been told that I seem ditsy, and felt that I have not been taken as seriously as people who seemed more masculine than I am. I have thought about how I can embrace my femininity and be a leader. I painted my piece with bright colors, bold brush strokes, dried flowers, and women who are feminine, but also seem confident and strong.
