Artist’s Statement: A few summers ago, my family and I traveled to Israel to celebrate my cousin’s bat mitzvah. This image is a view of Jerusalem from our apartment window at dusk. The warm colors as the sun begins to set remind me of the time I spent with my family, as well as my love of the land. Although this isn’t a photograph of one of the major well-known monuments in the Holy Land, for me it is a representation of our deep ties. My hope is that this image can open dialogue about our relationship with Israel.
