Saxophone by Sarah Solon

Artist’s Statement: The first thing that catches your eye when you look at my artwork is all of the different colors I used. I solarized my reference image in order to bring all of the colors out of the plain gold saxophone. The shading and value add dimension and depth to the saxophone. Because I wanted my artwork to be fun and unique, I knew I wanted to use a variety of colors and not just typical gold-and-brown-shades.
