Never Waste a Pandemic by Sarah Pearl Adler

Artist’s Statement: During the pandemic, many people realized that they had to make do with what they have. Utilizing household waste, including cardboard boxes, newspaper (with COVID-19 articles), plastic spoons, and dental floss, I sought to create wearable, environmentally-conscious fashion for the most difficult of times.
Sara Pearl Adler is a freshman at Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, FL where she is the Founder of her school’s Art Club and an active member of the Crew Team, the Jewish Heritage Club and the Technology Student Association. Outside of school, she is an environmental activist who leads communitywide events that showcase the impact of climate change on South Florida.
