Finding Spirituality in Nature

Finding Spirituality in Nature by Rivka SchaferArtist’s Statement: I have always found spirituality in nature. Sometimes I connect more to God when I am in the forest than when I am in synagogue. I see God’s work in the intricate beauty of nature. I find God in the leaves, in the dirt, and in the trees. I made this painting to represent how interconnected nature and Judaism are to me, and to display how I see nature: as a vibrant, colorful, spiritual space.
