Bubblegum by Hadar KalikowThe title of this piece is “Bubblegum” and the subject is my sister. I took this photograph a couple summers ago when my mom, my sister, and I went outside to watch the sunset. The clouds were such a bright pink, and they made everything else look pink as well. I wanted to bring my camera with me because the color outside was so beautiful, and I wanted to capture that. I also love the photography technique that I used, motion blur, because it has so much movement. This effect is created by moving the camera with the subject so that the subject stays in focus while the background is smeared. Looking at this photo reminds me of that summer and what it is like to be a child. I think this photo captures the fun that we were having on that night.
