DisjointedArtist’s Statement: I took this picture at a restaurant while visiting New York with my family after a long day when we were all pretty tired. I noticed my sister staring off into space with a thoughtful look on her face. To take this picture, I turned down the exposure so that the shutter speed was very slow. This allowed me to take a picture while the shutter was still open and zoom out to create an effect that looks like two pictures on top of each other. One thing I like about this photo is the lights above her. I like how they seem to be either pointing at her or radiating from her. The bright lights contrast with her not-so-bright expression.
