Hi, I’m Chana Lanter! I’m a senior at Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies (LACES) in sunny Los Angeles, California. I’m the editor-in-chief of our school paper, LACES Untied, and I also enjoy creative writing. I’m the founder and captain of our school’s quiz bowl team, and am active in mock trial and speech and debate. I’m a voracious reader and Israeli TV-show watcher (please try Srugim!). When not doing homework, I can often be found with my shirt covered in flour (kudos to some baking project) or pretending that I’m finally going to crack out that sewing machine and make my own skirts.
I have a passion for language, both its study and application. I believe in storytelling, that lifting voices is healing for us and our communities. Language instigates change. We have the power to get the ball rolling.
