My name is Tova Weiss, and I'm a writer, activist, musician, and Modern Orthodox Jew. From a very young age, I've been passionate about many forms of activism, particularly environmental justice. I've been a leadership board member of the Jewish Youth Climate Movement and a member of my school's Young Democrats Club's climate segment, and I've worked with Dayenu, a Jewish movement for climate action. Additionally, I'm a member of my county's 2023-2024 Youth Commission, a group of high school students who work closely with the county commissioners to make the county the best place it can be. I'm a member of my school's band and orchestra, playing flute and violin respectively. Music is one of my greatest passions, and I love to spread the beauty of music as widely as I can. I also love writing, regardless of the genre. That means I'm equally likely to be writing a fantasy novel, a poem, a personal essay, a comedic short story, or a carefully worded email (which I do far too frequently). An Ann Arbor native, I'm proud of the fact that I've practically never left the state of Michigan.
